No, it isn't real glass, it's fabric!

This is a detail of my other new piece of the moment, also based on a photo.  There are around 80 small pieces in the vase itself.  Each is fused and then free-motion stitched. Working on something monochromatic made a nice change from the brighter palette of my usual landscapes and flowers.  Many thanks to the Yellow Quilt Shop in Southampton, MA which had just the right neutrals to make this work!
