A warm thank you to the Pumpkin Patch Quilt Shop in Lee, MA for hosting my landscape workshop yesterday. We had a wonderful and artistic group of ladies!  And, Sue's shop had a bit of everything - I picked up a few fat quarters to round out my current projects!

Resolve to Try a New Quilt Technique!

Take a landscape workshop to start off your New Year!  January 26 I'll be teaching a landscape collage workshop at the Pumpkin Patch Quilt Shop in Lee, MA from 10-3.  Contact them to sign up or for more information.  

 Design your own small playful landscape collage using a raw edge applique technique and experiment with free-motion machine stitching to add value, texture, and interest.  Students do not work from a pattern, but may bring photos for inspiration, and I’ll have lots of samples. Suitable for intermediate quilters who can drop their feed dogs and are good friends with their sewing machine! Some free-motion quilting experience is helpful.  Students who choose a simple design will have time to start quilting.  Students who design something more complex will leave with a pin-basted top and lots of quilting ideas!

A few more images of my most recent projects... the Marble Jar has over 200 pieces and is a small study for a larger quilt which will become my winter project.  (Because I like to drive myself a little crazy!)

Lady's Slipper Orchids at the Pumpkin Patch
